Circular-shaped gold snuffbox with a detachable lid. Inserted into the lid is a circular miniature featuring a portrait of Olga Alexandrovna Zherebtsova (née Zubova), depicted in a three-quarter view facing left, as a lady with a voluminous hairstyle and a ruffled dress, set against an interior background. Along the edge of the lid is an enamel border with floral ornament. The walls are decorated with friezes of birds executed in translucent dark blue enamel over guilloché ground; the base features a circular medallion of translucent dark blue enamel over guilloché ground, enclosed by an enamel border with floral ornament.
