An oval-shaped gold snuffbox with a hinged lid. The body is decorated with four oval medallions depicting putti. The medallions, framed by garlands with bows, are set against a fluted background and separated by stylized columns; the lower part of the body is adorned with a meander motif frieze. The lid is decorated with a composition depicting three playing putti in an oval medallion, also framed by a garland with a bow against a fluted background. The rim of the lid is decorated with a guilloche (interlaced) border with rosettes, and its side surface features a Vitruvian wave (running wave) ornament and floral rosettes. A similar decorative design with a medallion is used on the exterior of the base, which features a composition depicting three putti with sheaves.
