Hallmarks: for the firm – “ИХ”, “ХЛЕБНИКОВЪ”; double-headed eagle – coat of arms of the Russian Empire, mark of the Supplier to the Imperial Court; Moscow city hallmark – St. George the Victorious on horseback slaying a dragon with a spear, with silver fineness number “88”.
Silver cigarette case, gilded inside, rectangular in shape with rounded sides and corners, smooth, consisting of two equal halves connected by hinge, featuring snap closure. On top lid, within oval medallion, there is painted enamel miniature depicting young Ukrainian couple in boat: girl in long bright skirt with white apron, white shirt, bright vest, with string of beads around her neck, standing on thwart (bench) near stern with long pole, and sitting young man in red harem trousers, festive shirt, and with black astrakhan fur cap on his head, playing accordion. Miniature is framed by floral and geometric ornament executed in champlevé enamel technique. Bottom lid is decorated with centrally located blank smooth circular medallion, formed by geometric pattern of champlevé enamel and supplemented by matting. Silver button is fitted in lock closure.
