Rectangular enameled snuffbox with bevelled corners and a hinged lid with a thumb piece. The surface of the snuffbox is covered with blue enamel over a guilloché background. A porcelain medallion with the painted porcelain medallion featuring a bust-length portrait of Empress Aleksandra Fyodorovna, half-faced to the left is mounted in the lid. The medallion and the edges of the snuffbox are framed by a frieze of foliage ornament. The thumb piece is decorated with diamond inserts.
