A rectangular gold snuffbox with a hinged lid. The lid is mounted with an oval miniature featuring a portrait of Jérôme Bonaparte, King of Westphalia and the youngest brother of Napoleon I Bonaparte, bordered by a band of blue enamel. The walls and base of the snuffbox are decorated with an engine-turned (guilloché) geometric pattern of small circles, bands of blue enamel, and stylized columns at the corners.
