    Presentation inscription: "Presented to William Jones Loyd and Gertrude Loyd on the celebration of their silver wedding by Lord Overstone. 21 June 1873" Hallmarks: 1) maker’s mark: RG beneath a crown (for Robert Garrard II); 2) sterling silver standard (.925 purity): Lion passant; 3) date letter: small letter "n" (for London, 1868–1869); 4) duty mark: profile of Queen Victoria within an oval; 5) town mark: leopard's head within an oval shield with clipped top corners and a rounded base (London assay office)

    Silver pilgrim's flask with a pear-shaped body, a flared neck, a stopper, two chain handles, and an oval base. The lower part of the body is decorated with raised gadrooned flutes, while the upper part features, on one side, an engraved coat of arms and, on the other, a commemorative inscription: "Presented to William Jones Loyd. And Gertrude Loyd. On the celebration of their silver wedding by Lord Overstone. 21. June. 1873." The sides of the body feature raised clusters of grapes and leaves, to which the chain handles are attached. The hemispherical stopper is segmented with flutes and surmounted by a small finial in the form of a vase.
