Silver-gilt beer mug of pear-shaped form, set on a circular moulded base with an S-scroll handle. The body is decorated with a cartouche enclosing a high-relief composition depicting a bacchic scene with putti, one of whom is represented as Bacchus riding a goat, while the other two (one feeding the goat and the other eating grapes) are shown as satyrs. To the left and right of the cartouche are raised rocaille motifs, waves, flowers, and scrolls. The handle is decorated with an acanthus leaf, a grapevine, and scrolls. The base is adorned with a raised band of flowers, clusters of grapes, and scrolls.
