Silver-gilt pitcher featuring a squat globular body, wide neck with a prominent pouring spout, and a smooth S-scroll handle with bifurcated terminal, all resting on wide conical base. The body is decorated with oval reserves formed by C-scrolls with the inner trellis pattern (treillage). The spaces between the reserves are filled with compositions of C-scrolls and floral garlands. The lower part of the neck is adorned with a band of foliate ornament. Positioned beneath the spout, within a shaped cartouche of C-scrolls and flowers, is an elaborately styled monogram, AGN. The base is further embellished with a matching band of foliate decoration composed of C-scrolls and blossoms.
