    Sculptural image of a seated (resting) male Samoyed made of silver, with his right leg stretched out and his left half bent, is fixed on ornately shaped rock crystal base imitating ice. The Samoyed is presented in the national clothes and shoes: long deerskin parka and high fur boots. A bow is in his right hand, a quiver with arrows is behind his back.
    The images the Northern nationalities archetypes on the arts and crafts items were popular in the late 19th - early 20th centuries due to the Arctic scientific research and expedition trips of Russian and Western European scientists and travelers to the North Pole.
