The Empire style writing set on smooth rectangular stand on four feet is made from gilded bronze in the form of two cups for inkwell, sandbox (removable) and four small "nests" for quill. The cups surface is decorated with stylized palmettes, laurel belts (inkwell) and geometric pattern. The writing set is united with single candle miracle lamp with detachable rectangular slightly curved parchment shade with the drawing of a spider. The shade is rimmed with narrow bronze frame with acanthus leaves frieze. The shade is fixed between two square rods that are mounted to the base. Gilded bronze flowerpot-shaped candle cup is on the base. It is fixed on the stand between the rods. The rods are adorned with wide friezes with mesh patterns. The writing set is supplemented by two figurines of dancing peasants. A peasant woman in apron dress and kokoshnik is to the left of the candle cup, a peasant with his left hand on his hips and raised right one with the hat, with medal on his homespun coat and handgear tucked into his belt.
