Stamped monogram: "E ‡ G" (with the Cross of Lorraine) "déposé" and a four-line signature: "E. Gallé à Nancy" (ornamental inscription in red paint on the base)
The ceramic vase features a rounded, disc-shaped body mounted on goldish-brown tree trunk-form base, which forms an encircling ring that encloses and holds the circular disc. The center of the disc features a landscape miniature depicting a rural scene with the ruins of an old stone arch and trees. The reverse side of the disc is decorated with bouquets of wildflowers. The edges of the disc and the tree trunk are adorned with dimensional, stylized flowers, featuring white petals with a red-orange border and goldish highlights.
