Thematic program for the international Children's Day in the museum

Every year on the 1st of June the International Children's Day is celebrated. It was established by the decision of the Congress of Women's International Democratic Federation in November 1949 in Paris. The idea of the Federation to organise the event was eagerly supported – and, as a result, a number of countries around the world simultaneously began to carry out educational and charitable actions  supporting children. The holiday was first celebrated on June 1, 1950.

In 2025, Children's Day falls on Sunday. This means that parents will have the opportunity to devote all time to their children from morning to evening.

To mark the international Children's Day, museum Collection prepared a thematic programme:

31.05.2025 at 12:00
Excursion ‘Animated dolls and musical instruments’ (for children aged 6-9 years old);

01.06.2025 at 12:00
Excursion ‘Journey to the world of music and mechanics’ (for children aged 10-13 years old).

Registration is already open in the ‘Contact us’ section, ‘Enroll for a tour’.

In the museum ‘Video archive’ in the section ‘'Video excursions sequence' you can watch the video tour ‘Amusing automata’.

For those who will not have an opportunity to visit a tour in the museum ‘Collection’, but who would like to learn interesting facts about automata and mechanisms built into them, we suggest to examine the section of the museum collection ‘Amusing Automata’.
