Exhibits of the Museum "Collection" are presented at the exposition "The world of the literary fairy tale of Pushkin time”
New exhibition "World of the Literary Fairy Tale of Pushkin Time" was opened in the Pushkin State Museum of Fine Arts in the beginning of March. It is the unique project narrating about the history of origin and development of a genre of the literary fairy tale in the Russian culture. Major archives and museums of Russia - Russian State Archive of Ancient Acts, The Russian State Archive of Literature and Arts (“Archive of Muses”), State archive of the Russian Federation, the Historical, Literary and Polytechnic museums, A.A. Bakhrushin State Central Theatre Museum, Artistic and Literary Museum-Reserve "Abramtsevo and private collectors - take part in the exposition together with The Pushkin State Museum of Fine Arts.
Museum "Collection" provided two exhibits for this exhibition – music boxes of the end of the 19th century. The visitor can examine the boxes and to listen to the melodies that they play – three times a day they come to life as if in the fairy tale "The Town in a Snuffbox" by V. F. Odoevsky. Elegant dolls are dancing to the accompaniment of the tiny bells and drum in one of the boxes and the second - executed in the form of a full-scale children's cradle, allows touching the intricate mechanism – to see both the spring, and the roller, and the sounding metal plate.
The exposition will be open until August 28, 2016.
