Gilded pocket watch key is made in the form of a flat rectangular case containing miniature musical movement. The case ornately shaped polished shell is the movement carcass. Mounting screws are visible on bevelled corners. The sides are covered with thin plates, decorated with miniature enamel images, with engraving, blue champlevé enamel and inlays of turquoise and red transparent stone. The image of Alpine landscape with water mill is on one plate. The image, placed on repousse field inside the chased frame, is surrounded by curly vignette. Rosettes with blue turquoise cabochons are in the corners. The image of fruits and flowers on blue background in rectangular chased frame is on another plate. Brackets in the form of polished balls, supported on the sides by wire curls are on the shell wide sides. One of the balls serves as a fastener for the gold-plated key stem with square cut channel. Through the other - goes the Winding shaft of the musical movement ending with ring goes through other ball. The ring is also a pendant. Flat slider located on the narrow side of the shell activates the movement.
