    Music box in rectangular gilded silver case in the form of a book, with a hinged lid, on the inclined lavishly engraved presentation stand decorated with pearls and gemstones. One lateral side is in the form of a spine, others three - have longitudinal corrugation imitating the book edge. The box case is engraved on all sides and decorated with applied and engraved foliate pattern. Hinged lid with opaque white enamel inserts, pearls and gemstones in delicately carved pierced settings. Central opaque polychrome enamel medallion with miniature painting of a noble lady in Biedermeier costume. Massive openwork onlays comprised of leaves, curls and flowers are on the lid corners. Pale green cabochon and pearl is fixed on each only. All free surfaces of the lid are decorated with chased and engraved floral ornament. Openwork cast pads with cabochons and pearls are on the engraved spine of the book. A curved convex frame with foliate pattern is on the smooth matt-finished bottom side. A crown with a folding grip is fixed at the bottom.

    Box interior is decorated with thin lacquered mahogany panels and is divided into two parts – the open one serves for storing jewellery, and the other, covered with a wooden plate, is for a music movement with cylinder and sound comb. The movement is activated when the box lid is opened.
