Singing bird box in a silver gilded case of complex shape on four feet, with rounded vertical ribs and bright pink enamel over the guilloche. An oval aperture in chased frame with foliage ornament is in the center of the upper panel. A hinged lid with an image of a loving couple of polychrome enamel in pink frame covers it. The lid inner surface is matt-finished. A switch activating the music movement with four blue cabochons silver alloy mark "935" is on the top right part of the front panel. When the movement is turned on, the lid opens and a miniature bird in bright colored feathers of blue, red, yellow, green and black colours appears. It swirls around, flaps its wings, opens and closes the beak. The sound movement imitates bird’s chirping.
At the end of the program, the bird hides in the groove in the openwork gilded lattice and the lid is closed. An aperture for the bird's movement winding and fixing elements are on the guilloche bottom panel.
