Near the key hole Latin letters “HK” in the circle. “B.C.T Co. Ltd” - company purchasing antiques for sale in the UK.

    Singing bird box in silver and enamel in the form of a book with two clasps, that are ornated with relief images of mascaron and a woman with a baby in her arms. Silver hallmarks are under the sliding spine with engraved ornament. Lilac colour cabochons are in the corners of the top panel. Oval apertures with relief foliage ornamentation covered with a hinged lid are on the top panel center. A portrait of a man with a goffered collar, polychrome enamel painted royal regalia is on the external lid surface. The inner lid surface is matte. The inscription “CHRISTOF FVGER Ab HAIMENDORF” is on the lid. A portrait of a woman in a dress with a goffered collar and the inscription "MARIA GEORG PRINZINGINO" – on the reverse side. Hallmarks and an activating rod are on the right side. A keyhole for winding a bird movement and hallmarks are under the lid. When the rod is extended, the oval lid with a man's portrait opens, a miniature bird in painted feathers appears. It turns in place, flaps its wings, opens and closes the beak; the sound mechanism simulates bird chirping. At the end of the program, the bird hides in the deepening and the lid closes.
