Snuffbox in rectangular gold case with rounded vertical ribs and a hinged top lid. Top and lower sides are engine-turned with a pattern of wavy lines, surrounded by a narrow blue frame and a border of engraved ornament in combination with blue transparent enamel flowers and acanthus leaves. A hexagonal medallion in a narrow blue enamel frame with images of flowers and musical instruments is in the center of the top side. An ornament comprised of semicircles and cornflower petals is on the lid welt. The inner surface of the snuffbox is smooth, with master’s marks. French import hallmarks are on the lateral side top. The lateral surfaces of the case are decorated with engine-turned panels in narrow chased frames. The rounded corners are engraved with blue enamel vertical lines. An aperture for a winding key with a square rod is on the bottom side. A music movement with a program cylinder and an audio comb plays two tunes. A sliding button on the rear side of the case activates it. Tunes switching lever is on the case right side. A winding key is of white metal.
