Snuffbox in rectangular gold case with rounded vertical ribs and hinged top lid. Top and bottom sides are engine-turned with patterns of wavy lines and grains and surrounded by a narrow blue frames and a borders with chased and engraved ornament of acanthus leaves, ribbons and blue transparent enamel flowers. A geometric ornament of blue emerald enamel and stylized leaves is on the lid welt. The lid inner surface is mirror-polished. An automaton, actuating a frivolous sketch on the background of an antique park is under the lid. The lateral surfaces of the case are decorated with guilloche panels in narrow chased frames. Chased stylized floral ornaments with blue enamel are on the rounded ribs. A keyhole is in the bottom. The two-air cylinder movement with 25-part sectional comb on brass bedplate. It is activated by a sliding button on the rear panel and plays two tunes. The button at the front side bottom switches the tunes.
