A musical snuffbox in golden rectangular case with rounded corners and a hinged lid. The case surfaces are engine-turned with leaf and crosslet motifs on wavy ground, edged with engraved foliate borders and with hexagonal floral cartouche. The lid is decorated by a hexagonal medallion with an image of a dark blue embossed enamel urn and a flower ornament on a champlevé background. The lid inner side and the case are mirror-polished, with hallmarks. An engraved geometric ornament with elements of dark blue enamel is on the ribs. A musical movement on / off button is on the front panel to the left. A guilloche field in a frame with embossed enamel leaves and flowers’ ornament, a sticker and a pin for winding a spring are on the bottom panel. With sur-plateau movement, that consists of a spring motor, a flat program disk with pins and three groups of steel sound tabs. Key with a curved grip and a swivel ring, a cylindrical rod with a square cross section aperture.
