Snuffbox in rectangular gold case with rounded vertical ribs and a hinged top lid. Rectangular fields with a guilloche pattern of wavy lines, surrounded by a narrow blue frame and a border with engraving combined with blue transparent enamel ornamentation of flowers in rosettes and acanthus leaves are on the top and bottom surfaces. A hexagonal medallion with images of flowers, musical instruments and sheet music is in the center of the top panel. An ornament of semicircles and leaves is on the lid welt. The snuffbox inner surface is smooth, polished, with Geneva and master’s marks in the oval. The side surfaces are decorated with guilloche panels in narrow chased frames. The rounded corners are decorated with engraving and blue enamel ornaments comprised of triangles. An aperture for the winding key with a square cross section rod is in the bottom side. Movement with suspended sur-plateau movement, a programe disc with pins and steel reeds, plays one tune. Is activated by a sliding button on the front side lower left part. A winding key is with a conical steel rod and a grip comprised of fixed and swivel rings.
