Four enamel images of flowers on blue background surrounded by vignettes with white frames and ornaments with green enamel acanthus leaves are on the top repousse panel. An oval keyhole in the centre. It is bordered with chiselled frame. The hinged lid with enamel image of a Bavarian castle near the lake with sailing boats, pine trees, heather and a figure of a man in the foreground is on the lid external surface. Enamel image of a flower bouquet on blue background in a frame is on the lid inner surface. Auilloche field with floral ornament is on lateral sides and bottom. A keyhole for winding the movement is on the bottom panel; floral ornament is on the vertical ribs. Mirror polished compartment for snuff tobacco with a hinged lid is on the rear side. A sliding lever for the bird's movement is on the facade side to the right. The oval lid opens automatically after switching on the movement, a tiny bird with coloured feathers appears. It spins, flaps its wings and tail, turns the head, opens and closes the beak; sound movement imitates bird's chirping. On completion of the movement's work the bird hides under the gilded engraved openwork lattice and the lid comes down. The movement is equipped with a fusee - stabilization system of the spring force. A winding key with ornately shaped grip and a square cross-section rod.
