    Marks on the case and movement lid: "1876". The movement lid is engraved, "Agustin de Jturbide al J,, D,, Piguet & Meylan a Geneve A.L. de Santa Ana 1822"


    This watch was a gift from Agustín de Iturbide, Emperor of Mexico, to general Antonio Lopes de Santa Anna.

    The movement with balance wheel, spring-powered cylinder escapement, quarter repeater on two gongs, with separate barrel drum for the music movement with disc and comb with steel reeds; the watch is key winded, the same key is used to set the hands.
