The clock is housed in a vertical walnut-veneered wooden case consisting of two sections – the clockwork housing and the musical movement housing. It rests on high plinth with profiled base, four figured feet, and fluted cornice. The top is crowned with carved pediment shaped like a hipped roof with a scaled pattern surface, adorned with finials – pointed turrets – at the front corners and above the roof.
