Musical clock in walnut and mahogany veneered wooden case, with ornately shaped panels, carved elements with foliage ornament, on the socle and profiled base. Upper part of the case with open work lettuces covered with red fabric from the inner side and Corinthian order fluted columns in the corners. Clock-face surface with the images of figurines and zodiacal symbols, week days, months, flowers, fruits and musicians with movable arms. Is on the face side behind the glazed door. Ring-shaped silver clock dial with Roman numerals for hours’ designation, Arabic numerals for minutes’ designation every fifth division and two ornately shaped hands, small second dial with one hand and window for the month days; two windows with the painted images of symbols and signs of week and month days, the weekday in indicators. The detachable scale with the engraved tunes’ titles and the hand is in the upper part of the dial. The maker’s signature is below: “GEO HEWETT MARLBOROUGH”, as well as the lunar calendar, a 24-hour indicator of the sun motion, the time of the sun's appearance and the set of day, two windows with indicators of a current quarter. Three apertures for winding the clockwork, its strike and musical movement are in dial the central part, brass register handles are on the sides. The clock movement with thermal compensation pendulum, 8-day period winding, lever escapement, four gravity power engines, hour strike and quarter chime on six bells with six hammers. Musical movement is an organ of four registers with nineteen pipes each. Three registers of open metal pipes, a register with stopped wooden pipes with fusee and pinned cylinder for twelve tunes. The movement is activated every three hours or when desired. The clockwork, strike and musical movement are winded with the key.
