The socle, adorned with foliage ornament and red stones’ inserts stands on four cast gilded foliage feet in the form of curls. The base covered with dark red velvet is mounted inside the cage. Two birds sit on cylindrical racks of different height fixed in the base. One bird has yellow and black plumage, the other one - red and black feathers. The branches with artificial leaves and flowers enlace the racks. Winding key is in the keyhole in the stand’s flat bottom, the lever for switching the movement is on the bottom. Cam mechanism with bellows, piccolo pipe with movable piston and spring drive is mounted inside the stand. When the mechanism is winded and activated, the birds on the branch utter trills, roll up in turn on the racks, turn their heads, open and close their beaks in phase with the tails’ movements.
