Oil-on-metal picture within a painted oval with gilt spandrels, depicting a rural scene of figures in a horse drawn cart passing by a church with a windmill on a nearby hill and a river in the distance, the clock fitted in the church tower is driven by a fusee and chain movement signed Thos. Brown, Birmingham No.48079 with verge escapement and ivory pull-wind wheel, the movement connected to the windmill and causing the sails to revolve.
