The automaton stands on rectangular wooden base covered in brown suede and decorated along the edges with metallic braid. The base is raised on flat plinth supported by four small spherical feet.
When the mechanism is switched on, the figure of the illusionist comes to life: his head turns and lowers as he looks at the girl lying on the table. The magician then raises his right hand, causing the girl's figure to lift above the table. The illusionist passes a hoop under the girl twice to demonstrate the absence of support beneath her, after which the girl lowers back onto the table, and everything returns to the initial position. The actions are accompanied by the sounds of the musical movement.
