Musical automaton in the form of a clown’s figure is mounted on rectangular stand on four chiseled feet, with the label on the front side. The stand is covered with dark green velvet cape, trimmed along the edge with braid and pompons. The clown’s head is of papier-mache, bisque hands, brown glass eyes with moving eyelids, red dots and stripes are on his face, red tip of the nose, open mouth with teeth and tongue, dark colour wig the clown’s black cylinder is above it. He is dressed in yellow satin jumpsuit with red side pockets, patches in the form of dice, embroidered exotic birds with damask stitch, musical staff with notes and a violin clef. Collar and cuffs are of corrugated satin, cuffed pants. Knitted cross-striped stockings and dark green satin shoes with red bows are on his feet.
The control mechanism and musical movement with two tunes cylinder, sound comb and spring drive are fitted in the stand. Winding key and sliding start / stop button are on the rear side.
