Automaton in the form of a girls clown with bisque head, brown glass paperweight eyes, closed mouth, brunette mohair wig, pierced ears, carton torso, hinged legs, bisque forearms and hands. She is wearing lavish silk clown costume and is posed standing upon a seven-rung metal ladder, her hands resting on the lader top. When activated, she performs a well-balanced acrobatic act, first bringing herself up to balance on both hands, and then balancing on just one hand, pausing and then repeating three times, while the music plays.
The clown's performance is accompanied by the sounds of musical movement with cylinder and sound comb.
