Mechanical dulcimer in a black lacquered wooden case, on a protruding base with brass corner plates, supported by four feet. On the front of the base, to the left, is a drive handle with a light-colored wooden grip; in the center is a circular aperture covered with brown fabric. Above is a removable frame-like panel with the inscription “Mignon” at the top, a shaped aperture covered with fabric featuring embroidered floral compositions in the corners, and a decorative wooden vignette with a mascaron and an oval printed portrait of a girl. On the back is a rectangular aperture covered with light brown fabric, with a strap bracket below.
