Inside the case is The musical mechanism is inside the case: a soundboard, a frame with inscriptions, strings, pegs and musical notes, a stand with a pinned wooden barrel for six melodies and a tracking bar with steel rods and plastic hammers. One can select one of six melodies by moving the melody selector knob on the case left side.
The musical range is twenty-three tones in choirs of two strings. The musical mechanism is activated by turning the crank, thus the pins on the barrel cause the hammers to strike the strings in the correct order via tracking bar, causing them to sound.
