In this work Maurice Bouval combines the female figure with a plant motif, a device characteristic of the sculptor's oeuvre. Gilding gives the bronze surface a soft shimmer and emphasizes the flowing silhouette. The French title of the model, Femme Fleur (Flower Girl), directly evokes the aesthetics of Art Nouveau, characterized by the organic fusion of the human figure, plant forms, and ornament.
