The sculpture depicts a standing girl, full-length, in a casual pose, with her head slightly tilted to the left. The girl's right hand is pressed to her chest, and her left hand is bent at the elbow, holding a telephone receiver to her ear. She wears a short pleated dress, and a bonnet on her head. Her legs are clad in socks and children's shoes. The sculpture is mounted on a circular profiled pedestal made of dark green veined marble.
