Set on rectangular base with a textured relief ground is a sculptural depiction of a centaur – a mythological creature with a horse's body and a male human torso. He is shown with short curly hair, a beard, an aquiline nose (a nose with a bump), and a bare chest. The centaur is depicted mid-stride: his front right leg is bent at the joint, the back right leg is stepped forward, and the back left leg is extended to the rear. His arms – the left bent at the elbow and the right outstretched – grip an invisible bow, upon which his gaze is fixed.
