Carved from a single, large rough boulder of Brazilian gray-banded agate,agate natural white layers depict flight of  Icarus a darkened sky, while natural white banding was used in the composition to depict clouds.
The bowl have a slightly everted rim that was polished to reveal the fine translucency of the material along the edges.
