Lapis Lazuli carving of an Egret. The texturing of the bird's feathers is finely carved and the eyes are formed of a pair of bezel-set brilliants. The beak is carved of bright orange coral. The gold vermeil legs rest upon a "marshy landscape" evoked by the use of a mound of dog's tooth calcite on matrix.
