The box displays rare phantom inclusions in both the lid and the body. The texture of the inclusions is reminiscent of moss serves to evoke the riparian environment of the frog which has been reverse painted to the back of the lid. The other frog is seen reverse painted on the box botoom. The bee thumb ramp bears an inset diamond, while a substantial quantity of gold is utilized in the rim, thumb ramp and hinged fittings.
