Salt cellar in the form of a peasant's wooden salt cellar - a chair with four feet, round back and lift-up lid - the seat. The sides and the seat surfaces are decorated with enamel ornament of large diamonds joined together by flower rosettes and filled with the geometrical pattern bordered with a narrow frame with fine diamonds. The rear side is ornamented with stylised double-ended enamel image of cocks facing each other. Salt cellar cylinder feet are decorated with enamel. The enamel colours are turquoise, blue, white, red and green.
The salt cellar shape evokes the ancient Russian utensil samples, peasants' salt cellars.
