Inside on the lid, there are defaced hallmarks: a Swiss gold standard mark in the form of a flower, presumably a maker's mark in the form of a monogram (poorly legible), and two other unknown, poorly legible marks. On the bezel, there is an unknown hallmark in a square shield "A" and an engraved number "2507".
The snuffbox features a four-color gold rectangular case with rounded corners and a hinged lid. On the lid is a rectangular plaque executed in polychrome painted enamel, depicting a panoramic view of Dresden from the right bank of the Elbe, complete with architectural monuments and people strolling. The enamel miniature is enclosed within a decorative gold frame featuring geometric and vegetal ornament. The sides are decorated with high-relief garlands of acanthus leaves, flowers, and winding stems. The floral elements are crafted from gold of various shades. The bottom features a rectangular guilloché panel with a wavy pattern, surrounded by a chased garland of flowers and leaves against a pounced background.
