ГАНЪ; double-headed eagle –- coat of arms of the Russian Empire, mark of the Imperial Court Supplier; of the workshop – “CB”; triple mark of the St. Petersburg District Assay Office of 1899-1908 – a female head in Traditional Russian headdress (kokoshnik) turned to the left, with the fineness number "84" and initials of the district officer Ya. Lyapunov
Oval gold snuffbox is with a hinged lid and a thumb piece. In the center of the lid is An oval medallion covered with translucent blue enamel over guilloché background, featuring an applied monogram of Emperor Nicholas II – “НII” beneath a crown is on the lid center. The medallion is framed with a border of small pearls. Applied frieze of intertwined wavy ribbons and laurel, decorated with diamonds is along the lid edge. The walls and base of the snuffbox are covered with translucent blue enamel over guilloché background.
