Gold rectangular snuffbox  with bevelled corners and a hinged lid. An oval portrait of His Royal Highness Louis-Antoine, Duke of Angouleme (1775-1844) is embedded on the lid under glass, in military uniform with the Order of Golden Fleece (established in 1429), the Royal and Military Order of St. Louis (established by King Louis XIV in 1693), the Order of the Legion of Honour (established by Napoleon in 1802) and with a star of the Order of the Holy Spirit (established in 1578 year by King Henry III).  The box is decorated with relief foliate patterns.
