Gold rectangular snuffbox with bevelled corners and a hinged lid, in the Neoclassical style. Images are on the lid and on the bottom: two cherubs playing around a female statue on one side and cherubs playing around the Altar of Love on the other side. The pictures are made in the grisaille technique imitating cameo. The case is decorated with medallions with images of cherubs and "sculptural busts" in the Grisaille technique, ivory panels imitating malachite and mother-of-pearl inserts.
