Silver gilded round snuffbox with removable lid. The lid and bottom surfaces are decorated with niello images of gallant scenes with the  figures of gossiping ladies and gentlemen against veduta background (lid) and cavalier among the architectural ruins (the bottom). The images are located on slightly lowered repousse background, framed by the ornamental frame of lush leaves. Suspended niello garlands on repousse background decorate the snuffbox sides.
