Silver rectangular cigarette case, gilded inside, with rounded sides, comprised of two equal halves, connected by a hinge, with a snap closure. The case is decorated with carved floral and geometric ornamentation, supplemented with coloured gems’ inserts and onlay relief gold and silver details that are partially enamelled. Artistically designed capital letters and signatures in Cyrillic and hieroglyphs, a girl's profile, a rectangular pad with an engraved inscription "Отъ / друга / 21. IX. 1904", an image of a screech beetle from a green gem, coloured gems’ inserts are on the top lid. Onlay artistic letters and signatures, red enamel epaulette of the cadet of the Nikolayev engineering college, a bullet, a silver five-kopeck coin of 1903 and coloured gems’ inserts decorate the bottom lid of the cigarette case. The following inscriptions are scratched on both lids’ inner surfaces: "03 / Башкалъ / 1904 г. / 9 Марта / Инна / 1903 / Керчь / Велл / Владивосток / 21 Мар», «Ксенiя / Керчь / Инна / Артиллерiя / Золотницкiй”. Such onlay decorative details and inscriptions on the cigarette case, made to order, should remind the owner of an anniversary date, experiences, friends, wishes of success, etc.
