Marks: "JCD"; "3018"; marks of tax farmer Henry Clavel, resembling Paris city mark. Inscriptions on the top and bottom miniatures in the bottom right corner: "L de S"
Gold rectangular snuffbox; gold omlays with wavy borders framing glazed panels with six gouache miniature paintings, the lid and base paintings showing the scenes of fierce combat by the seashore with battleships in the bay, each signed L de S, those on the sides - showing peaceful coastal scenes, including a picnic by the shore, soldiers gambling and smoking pipes, a harbor view, and a rescue at sea. The bottom and lid miniatures are signed by Edme-Charles de Lioux de Savignac.
