    Gold rectangular cigarette case, with rounded sides and corners, comprised of two equal halves, connected by hinge, with a snap shutter. Round medallion with blue enamel underlines the cigarette case lid smooth surface. The medallion is framed with relief wreath, onlay Imperial crown in the center, decorated with diamonds. An oval sapphire cabochon in bezel siting is in the lock button. A cigarette case is embedded in the authentic case of Ivan Khlebnikov firm.

    This cigarette case refers to the so-called presentation gifts that were granted to the Russian Empire fellow citizens or foreigners by the Cabinet of His Imperial Majesty both for merits and on occasions of various memorable dates, celebrations and holidays. Such items were always decorated with imperial portraits, monograms, crowns or the state coat of arms.
