Egg with detachable upper half is covered with blue enamel with golden foliage ornament and decorated with gilded lattice with flower heads in at the junctions and red stones-cabochons along the edging center. The finial is decorated with turquoise-cabochon in setting. Round stem is decorated with pearls. The egg lower part is upholstered with red fabric from the inner side and hides golden basket with a swan pecking grains from pearls.
