A mother-of-pearl necessaire in the form of a cartouche, on four mother-of-pearl legs, with a hinged lid, the body decorated with the engraved patterns and gold overlays in the form of rocaille details and shells. On the lid is Gold overlay in the Chinoiserie style with the image of two Chinese men having tea in a gazebo is on the lid. A mirror in gold frame with rocaille overlays is on the lid inner side. A set of mother-of-pearl spindle and a shuttle for silken thread, gold folding knife, needle case and scissors is inside. The upper inner compartment is removable.
