The silver historicism-style tancard, gilded on the inside, with a hinged lid with thumb piece and a spur, ornately shaped handle, and molded circular base. The body is decorated with a high-relief composition featuring a battle of mounted and foot warriors against a landscape setting. The rim is emphasized by a relief braided band, and the base – by a relief acanthus band. The thumb piece is made in the form of a cast figurine of a blowing putto holding a shield. The handle is in the form of a triton fighting a winged serpent.
